Guidelines for Authors

The International Journal of Applied Research in Management, Economics and Accounting (IJMEA) welcomes original, high-quality scholarly contributions in management, economics, accounting, business administration, finance, marketing, and related interdisciplinary fields.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts comply with the journal's editorial, ethical, technical, and publication requirements before submission.

1. Originality and Exclusivity

Manuscripts submitted to IJMEA must be original and must not have been previously published in another journal, book, conference proceeding, or other formal publication unless the submission is explicitly permitted by the journal.

A manuscript submitted to IJMEA should not be under active consideration by another journal at the same time.

Authors must disclose any relevant previous publication, preprint, conference version, or related manuscript that could create concerns regarding duplicate or redundant publication.

IJMEA primarily considers the following scholarly contributions:

  • Original Research Articles

  • Review Articles

  • Conceptual or Theoretical Articles

  • Applied Research Studies

The Editorial Office may consider other scholarly formats at its discretion.

4. Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts should be written in clear and professional academic English.

Authors should ensure that the manuscript is logically structured, clearly written, and carefully proofread before submission.

A research article should normally contain the following elements where applicable:

  3. Keywords

  4. Introduction

  5. Literature Review or Theoretical Background

  6. Methodology

  7. Results or Findings

  8. Discussion

  9. Conclusion

  10. Limitations and/or Implications

  11. References

The structure may be adapted according to the nature and methodology of the research.

5. Title

The title should be concise, informative, and accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.

Authors should avoid unnecessary abbreviations, excessive wording, and claims that are not supported by the research.

6. Abstract

The abstract should provide a concise overview of the study.

Where appropriate, it should include:

  • Research purpose or objective

  • Methodology

  • Main findings

  • Key conclusions

  • Significant implications

The abstract should be understandable without requiring readers to consult the main text.

7. Keywords

Authors should provide relevant keywords that accurately represent the main concepts, methods, and subject areas of the manuscript.

Keywords should improve the discoverability of the article in scholarly search and indexing services.

8. Tables and Figures

Tables and figures should be clear, numbered consecutively, and appropriately referred to in the manuscript.

Authors should ensure that:

  • Tables and figures are relevant to the research.

  • Titles and captions are informative.

  • Sources are properly acknowledged where applicable.

  • Data are presented accurately.

  • Third-party copyrighted material is used only with appropriate permission or under a legally applicable exception or license.

9. References and Citations

Authors must provide accurate and complete references for all sources cited in the manuscript.

Every work cited in the text should appear in the reference list, and every reference listed should be cited in the manuscript where applicable.

Authors should verify the accuracy of author names, publication details, titles, journal information, and DOI information before submission.

References should follow the journal's required citation and formatting style.

10. Research Ethics

Authors must ensure that their research complies with applicable ethical, legal, and institutional requirements.

For research involving human participants, personal data, or other ethically sensitive materials, authors should obtain appropriate ethical approval where required and provide relevant information in the manuscript.

Where applicable, informed consent must be obtained from research participants.

Further requirements are described in the journal's Ethical Oversight policy.

11. Data and Reproducibility

Authors should provide sufficient methodological and analytical information to allow readers to understand and, where reasonably possible, reproduce or assess the reported research.

Where applicable, authors should provide a Data Availability Statement describing how the underlying data can be accessed or explaining any ethical, legal, confidentiality, or institutional restrictions.

Authors remain responsible for the accuracy and integrity of their research data and reported findings.

12. Authorship and Contributorship

All listed authors must have made a genuine and substantial contribution to the research or manuscript and must approve the final version.

Authors should agree on the order of authors before submission.

Any request to add, remove, or reorder authors after submission must be supported by appropriate justification and approval from all affected authors.

Detailed requirements are provided in the journal's Authorship and Contributorship policy.

13. Conflicts of Interest

Authors must disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest that could reasonably influence or appear to influence the research or publication process.

Financial support, institutional relationships, professional interests, or other relevant relationships should be disclosed where applicable.

If no relevant conflict exists, authors should provide an appropriate declaration.

14. Funding

Authors should disclose all sources of financial or material support received for the research.

Where applicable, the role of the funding organization in study design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, manuscript preparation, or the decision to submit should be stated.

If the research received no specific funding, an appropriate statement should be provided.

15. Plagiarism and Duplicate Publication

IJMEA does not accept plagiarism, substantial unattributed reuse of another person's work, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, or other forms of research or publication misconduct.

Manuscripts may be screened using appropriate similarity-detection tools.

A similarity score alone does not automatically constitute plagiarism. Editorial assessment will consider the nature, context, extent, and attribution of the identified similarities.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all sources and previously published materials are appropriately acknowledged.

16. Use of Artificial Intelligence

Authors may use artificial intelligence tools to assist with aspects of manuscript preparation where appropriate, but authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and ethical compliance of their manuscript.

AI tools cannot be listed as authors.

Authors should disclose material use of generative AI tools where required by the journal's policies or where such use has substantially contributed to the preparation of the manuscript.

AI tools must not be used to fabricate data, generate false references, manipulate research findings, or otherwise compromise research integrity.

17. Copyright and Licensing

Copyright in published articles remains with the authors.

All articles published by IJMEA are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), unless otherwise clearly identified for specific third-party material.

The CC BY 4.0 license permits sharing and adaptation of published material, including commercial use, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original authors and source, a link to the license is provided, and any changes are indicated.

By submitting a manuscript, authors agree to grant IJMEA the necessary publishing rights to publish, distribute, archive, and make the accepted article publicly available under the journal's open-access model.

18. Submission and Peer Review

All manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment before entering the peer-review process.

Manuscripts considered suitable for the journal may be evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process.

Authors should ensure that the submitted manuscript does not contain unnecessary information that could reveal their identity to reviewers where a double-blind review is being conducted.

Authors are expected to respond professionally and comprehensively to editorial and reviewer comments when revisions are requested.

The final editorial decision is made by the Editor or Editorial Board based on the overall academic assessment of the manuscript.

19. Manuscript Revisions

When revisions are requested, authors should submit:

  • A revised version of the manuscript

  • A clear response to reviewer and editorial comments

  • An explanation of changes made

  • A justification for any reviewer comments that were not followed

Changes should be clearly identifiable where requested by the Editorial Office.

20. Article Processing Charge

IJMEA is a fully open-access journal.

There is no submission fee and no peer-review fee.

An Article Processing Charge is payable only after the manuscript has received final acceptance and is scheduled for publication.

Authors will be officially notified of the publication fee and payment instructions through the journal's official email address.

Following confirmation of payment, the accepted article will be published within 10 days.

A Publication Certificate will also be issued and sent to the author after publication.

Payment of the APC does not guarantee acceptance and does not influence peer-review or editorial decisions.

21. Post-Publication Corrections

Authors are expected to notify the Editorial Office promptly if they discover a significant error in their published article.

Depending on the nature and significance of the issue, IJMEA may publish a correction, clarification, expression of concern, retraction, or other appropriate editorial notice.

Further information is provided in the journal's Post-Publication Discussions and Corrections policy.
