Author Guidelines

The International Journal of Applied Research in Management, Economics and Accounting (IJMEA) welcomes original and high-quality manuscripts that fall within the journal's scope.

Authors are encouraged to carefully review the following guidelines before submitting a manuscript.

1. Types of Manuscripts

IJMEA considers the following types of scholarly contributions:

• Original Research Articles

• Review Articles

• Systematic Literature Reviews

• Theoretical and Conceptual Papers

• Empirical Studies

• Applied Research

• Case Studies

• Methodological Contributions

All submissions must present original work and provide a clear contribution to the relevant field.

2. Scope of the Journal

Manuscripts must be relevant to the aims and scope of IJMEA.

The journal welcomes research in areas including:

• Management

• Business Administration

• Economics

• Accounting

• Finance

• Marketing

• Human Resource Management

• Organizational Behavior

• Strategic Management

• Entrepreneurship and Innovation

• Corporate Governance

Manuscripts that fall substantially outside the journal's scope may be rejected during the initial editorial screening.

3. Originality and Exclusive Submission

Manuscripts submitted to IJMEA must be original and must not have been previously published in any journal, book, conference proceeding, or other publication in substantially the same form.

A manuscript submitted to IJMEA must not be under consideration by another journal at the same time.

By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that:

• The work is original;

• The manuscript has not been published previously;

• The manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere;

• All authors have approved the submitted version; and

• All authors agree to its submission to IJMEA.

4. Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts should be written in clear and understandable academic English.

Authors should ensure that the manuscript is carefully edited and proofread before submission.

A typical research article should contain the following sections, where applicable:

1. Title

2. Abstract

3. Keywords

4. Introduction

5. Literature Review / Theoretical Framework

6. Methodology

7. Results / Findings

8. Discussion

9. Conclusion

10. Practical and/or Policy Implications

11. Limitations and Future Research

12. References

The exact structure may vary depending on the type and methodology of the manuscript.

5. Title

The title should be concise, informative, and accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.

Authors should avoid unnecessary abbreviations, overly broad statements, and promotional language in the title.

6. Abstract

The abstract should provide a concise summary of the study.

For research articles, the abstract should normally include:

• Background or research problem

• Purpose or objective

• Methodology

• Main findings

• Conclusion and implications

The abstract should normally be 150–250 words.

The abstract should be understandable without referring to the main text.

7. Keywords

Authors should provide 3–6 keywords that accurately represent the main concepts and subject areas of the manuscript.

Keywords should be specific and relevant to the research.

8. Tables and Figures

Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively and referred to in the main text.

Each table and figure should have a clear and descriptive title or caption.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that they have permission to reproduce any copyrighted material included in their manuscript.

Tables and figures should be of sufficient quality for publication.

9. References and Citations

All sources cited in the manuscript must appear in the reference list, and all references listed must be cited in the manuscript.

Authors should use a consistent academic referencing style throughout the manuscript.

References should be accurate, complete, and, where appropriate, include DOI information.

Authors are encouraged to cite relevant and recent scholarly literature while maintaining a balanced and appropriate reference list.

10. Research Ethics

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their research complies with applicable ethical standards.

Where relevant, manuscripts involving human participants, personal data, confidential information, or other ethically sensitive research must provide appropriate information regarding ethical approval and informed consent.

Authors must not fabricate, falsify, manipulate, or misrepresent research data or findings.

11. Authorship

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial contributions to the conception, design, execution, analysis, or interpretation of the research.

All listed authors must have approved the final manuscript and agreed to its submission to IJMEA.

Individuals who do not meet the criteria for authorship should not be listed as authors.

Any changes to the authorship of a manuscript after submission must be approved by all authors and may require editorial approval.

12. Conflict of Interest

All authors must disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest that could influence the research or its interpretation.

If no conflict of interest exists, authors should state:

"The authors declare that they have no conflict of interest."

13. Funding

Authors should disclose all sources of financial support for the research.

If the research received no specific funding, authors may state:

"This research received no specific grant from any funding agency in the public, commercial, or not-for-profit sectors."

14. Data Availability

Authors should provide a data availability statement where applicable.

Where research data can be shared ethically and legally, authors are encouraged to make relevant data available through an appropriate repository or upon reasonable request.

Where data cannot be shared because of ethical, legal, privacy, or confidentiality restrictions, the authors should clearly explain the applicable restrictions.

15. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI

Authors may use artificial intelligence tools for limited purposes such as language improvement, grammar correction, or formatting assistance.

AI tools must not be listed as authors or co-authors.

Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and content of their manuscript.

Where generative AI has been used substantially in the preparation of the manuscript, authors should disclose its use in an appropriate statement.

AI-generated content must not be used to fabricate data, references, results, citations, or other research findings.

16. Plagiarism and Duplicate Publication

All submitted manuscripts must be original.

IJMEA does not accept plagiarism, duplicate publication, substantial text recycling, fabricated data, falsified results, or other forms of research misconduct.

Manuscripts may be screened for plagiarism or excessive textual similarity during the editorial process.

The journal may take appropriate action when research or publication misconduct is identified.

17. Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening are evaluated through the journal's double-blind peer-review process.

The identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential during the review process.

Manuscripts may be:

• Accepted

• Accepted subject to revisions

• Returned for major revisions

• Rejected

The final editorial decision is based on the academic quality and relevance of the manuscript and the available peer-review reports.

18. Submission Process

Authors should submit their manuscripts through the submission method specified by IJMEA.

Before submission, authors should ensure that:

• The manuscript follows the Author Guidelines;

• The manuscript falls within the journal's scope;

• All authors have approved the manuscript;

• The manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere;

• Required ethical disclosures have been provided;

• Conflict-of-interest information has been disclosed; and

• The manuscript has been carefully proofread.

19. Article Processing Charge

IJMEA does not charge a submission fee or peer-review fee.

The Article Processing Charge is:

€170

The APC is payable only after formal acceptance of the manuscript.

No payment is requested before acceptance.

20. Publication After Acceptance

Following formal acceptance, the corresponding author receives an official acceptance notification through the journal's official email address.

After acceptance, the author receives the applicable APC payment instructions.

Following confirmation of payment, the manuscript proceeds to the final production and publication process.

21. Copyright and Licensing

Authors should review the journal's Copyright and Licensing Policy before submission.

Published articles are made available under the licensing terms specified by IJMEA.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all third-party material included in the manuscript can legally be reproduced and published.

22. Corrections and Retractions

If a significant error is identified after publication, authors should promptly contact the editorial office.

Depending on the nature and significance of the issue, IJMEA may publish a correction, clarification, editorial notice, or retraction in accordance with the journal's publication ethics procedures.

23. Submission Checklist

Before submitting a manuscript, authors should confirm the following:

☐ All authors have approved the final manuscript.

☐ All references are complete and consistently formatted.

☐ Ethical approval and informed consent information are provided where applicable.

☐ Funding information has been disclosed.

☐ Conflict-of-interest information has been disclosed.

☐ AI use has been disclosed where applicable.

☐ The manuscript complies with the journal's ethical and publication policies.

Important Note on Publication Fees

IJMEA does not request or accept any payment before a manuscript has received formal acceptance.

The editorial and peer-review process is independent of the author's ability or willingness to pay the Article Processing Charge.

Authors should make payments only after receiving official payment instructions from the journal's authorized editorial office.
