Intellectual Property

The International Journal of Applied Research in Management, Economics and Accounting (IJMEA) respects the intellectual property rights of authors and is committed to protecting the integrity and lawful use of scholarly works published by the journal.

1. Ownership of Intellectual Property

Authors retain the intellectual property rights in their original scholarly work, subject to the publication and licensing terms agreed with IJMEA.

Submission of a manuscript to IJMEA does not, by itself, transfer ownership of the author's intellectual property to the journal or publisher.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary rights and permissions for all materials included in their manuscript.

2. Copyright and Publication Rights

Authors retain copyright in their published work.

By accepting an article for publication, authors grant IJMEA the necessary rights to publish, distribute, archive, and make the article publicly available under the journal's open-access publishing model.

The publication of an article does not constitute a transfer of copyright ownership from the author to IJMEA.

3. Creative Commons License

All articles published by IJMEA are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), unless otherwise stated for specific third-party material.

Under the CC BY 4.0 license, readers and other users may:

  • Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.

  • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial purposes.

Users must provide appropriate credit to the original author(s), provide a link to the applicable license, and indicate if changes were made.

The full terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) are available through the official Creative Commons website.

4. Author Responsibilities

Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are original and do not infringe the intellectual property rights of others.

Authors are responsible for obtaining appropriate permission for copyrighted third-party materials, including text, figures, tables, photographs, datasets, instruments, or other protected content, when such permission is required.

All third-party materials must be properly attributed.

5. Third-Party Material

The CC BY 4.0 license applies to the material for which IJMEA holds the necessary publishing rights.

Third-party materials included in an article may be subject to separate copyright or licensing conditions. Such material should be clearly identified where applicable.

Users are responsible for determining whether permission is required before reusing third-party material.

6. Attribution and Citation

Any reuse of an IJMEA article or substantial part of its content must include appropriate attribution to the original author(s) and the published source.

Attribution should include, where applicable:

  • Author name(s)

  • Article title

  • Journal title

  • Publication year

  • DOI

  • A link to the original publication

  • A link to the CC BY 4.0 license

  • An indication of whether changes were made

7. Open Access and Reuse

IJMEA is committed to providing immediate and unrestricted open access to its published scholarly content.

The CC BY 4.0 license permits broad reuse of published articles while requiring appropriate attribution to the original authors.

Open access does not mean that intellectual property rights are waived. Copyright remains with the authors, while the published work is made available under the applicable Creative Commons license.

8. Copyright Infringement and Intellectual Property Concerns

Concerns regarding possible copyright infringement, unauthorized use of intellectual property, improper attribution, or other intellectual property issues should be reported to the Editorial Office through the journal's official email address.

The Editorial Office will assess reported concerns and may request supporting documentation from the relevant parties.

Where necessary, IJMEA may take appropriate editorial action in accordance with its publication ethics, corrections, and misconduct policies.

9. Editorial Independence

Intellectual property decisions and editorial actions are handled independently of commercial considerations.

Payment of an Article Processing Charge does not grant authors any additional intellectual property rights or influence over editorial decisions.

The Article Processing Charge (APC)  is payable only after the manuscript has received final acceptance and is scheduled for publication. Authors will be officially notified of the publication fee and payment instructions through the journal's official email address.

Following confirmation of payment, the accepted article will be published within 10 days. A Publication Certificate will also be issued and sent to the author after publication.

Questions or concerns regarding copyright, licensing, permissions, or intellectual property should be directed to IJMEA through the journal's official contact channels.

IJMEA is committed to respecting the intellectual property rights of authors, contributors, readers, and third-party rights holders while maintaining a transparent and reliable scholarly publishing record.
