Open Access Policy

The International Journal of Applied Research in Management, Economics and Accounting (IJMEA) is committed to the principles of Open Access and supports the broad and responsible dissemination of scholarly research.

IJMEA follows the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and is committed to making published research freely accessible to the global academic community.

1. Immediate Open Access

IJMEA is a fully open-access, peer-reviewed journal.

All published articles are made freely and immediately available online without subscription or access charges.

Readers and their institutions do not need to pay a subscription fee to access the journal's published content.

Users may read, download, copy, search, link to, share, and otherwise use published articles for lawful purposes in accordance with the terms of the applicable Creative Commons license.

2. Creative Commons Licensing

All articles published by IJMEA are distributed under the:

Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0)

The CC BY 4.0 license permits users to:

  • Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format;

  • Adapt — remix, transform, translate, and build upon the material;

including for commercial purposes, provided that appropriate attribution is given.

Users must provide appropriate credit to the original author(s), identify the original publication in IJMEA, provide a link to the CC BY 4.0 license, and indicate whether changes were made.

3. Copyright Retention

Copyright remains with the author(s) of each published article.

Publication under the CC BY 4.0 license does not transfer copyright ownership to IJMEA or its publisher.

Authors retain the right to share, reuse, distribute, and adapt their published work in accordance with the terms of the CC BY 4.0 license.

4. Author Self-Archiving

Authors are permitted and encouraged to share their published articles through appropriate scholarly channels, including:

  • Personal academic websites;

  • Institutional repositories;

  • University repositories;

  • Research repositories; and

  • Other appropriate scholarly platforms.

When sharing an article, authors should provide the complete bibliographic citation, article DOI, and a link to the official IJMEA Version of Record.

5. Reader Rights

Under the CC BY 4.0 license, readers and other users may access, reuse, share, and adapt published IJMEA articles without requesting additional permission from the journal or publisher, provided that the license conditions are respected.

Users must not apply legal or technological restrictions that prevent others from exercising the rights granted by the CC BY 4.0 license.

6. Article Processing Charge

IJMEA operates under an open-access publishing model supported by an Article Processing Charge (APC).

There is:

  • No submission fee;

  • No peer-review fee; and

  • No charge for accessing or downloading published articles.

The APC is payable only after the manuscript has received final acceptance and is scheduled for publication.

Authors will be officially notified of the publication fee and payment instructions through the journal's official email address.

Following confirmation of payment, the accepted article will be published within 10 days.

A Publication Certificate will also be issued and sent to the author after publication.

Payment of the APC does not influence the editorial or peer-review decision.

7. Open Access and Editorial Independence

Open-access publication and the payment of an APC are separate from the editorial decision-making process.

Manuscripts are evaluated according to the journal's editorial and double-blind peer-review procedures.

Editorial decisions are based on academic quality, originality, relevance, methodological soundness, research integrity, and compliance with the journal's policies.

An author's ability or willingness to pay an APC does not determine whether a manuscript is accepted.

8. Long-Term Accessibility

IJMEA is committed to maintaining long-term access to its published scholarly content.

The journal uses digital preservation and archiving arrangements, including CLOCKSS, LOCKSS, and the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), to support the long-term preservation of published articles.

9. Third-Party Material

The CC BY 4.0 license applies to IJMEA content unless a specific third-party material is clearly identified as being subject to separate copyright or licensing conditions.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that appropriate permissions are obtained for third-party material included in their manuscripts where required.

Users should review any specific copyright notices, attribution statements, or licensing conditions associated with third-party material before reusing it.

10. Commitment to Open Scholarly Communication

IJMEA believes that unrestricted access to scholarly research can support:

  • International knowledge exchange;

  • Academic collaboration;

  • Research visibility and discoverability;

  • Educational use;

  • Reuse and development of research findings; and

  • Broader dissemination of scientific knowledge.

The journal therefore supports responsible, transparent, and sustainable open-access publishing practices.
